Perfect performance

I registered for the Farberware set 38 years ago for my wedding when it was the top brand and it is still tops in my kitchen. I added a few of their non-stick coating choices a few years later and they have held up just as well. Even, controlled heating, perfect clean up and because I never used an abrasive on the sides or top, looks like it was on the store shelf. Blends in beautifully with all the new stainless appliances I added with my kitchen remodel. Knob handle may look dates but is astonishingly functional when lifting a hot lid which always seal perfectly. Such a great performer my 30 and 32 year old daughters each asked for it for their wedding. You will not regret this!

Best sauce pans ever used

I got this sauce pan in a set from my late great-grandmother and I can say by far that this brand is the best I've ever used. This sauce pan in particular had taken everything I can give it and more. The fact that this was passed down from one generation to the next just goes to show how great the quality of this cookware really is. I have had to replace several pot and pan sets over the year but this is the only one that has managed to survive the test of time.

Great pot that won't disappoint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a faberware 1 quart covered saucepan to test. This is a stainless steel pot and lid with a plastic handle. I was unfamiliar with this product before receiving it to test. It is amazing! I have used it to make sauces,gravy, boil eggs and rice and just cannot say enough positive things about it. It's easy to clean, easy to cook with and you will be delighted with the outcome of whatever it is you need to cook. I found it cooked things evenly and not one time did I burn or scorch anything! If you want a great new saucepan I would definitely recommend the faberware 1 quart sauce pan with lid. It doesn't matter how good of a cook you are, this pot makes life much easier!

Great quality saucepan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this 2-quart covered saucepan from Farberware. The stainless steel is really great quality and makes this my new favorite saucepan to use. I really like the lid that comes with this because it gives a nice handle to grip at the top when I want to check on and stir whats cooking inside. I have been cooking rice and quinoa in this and they have been turning out perfect, cooking quick and evenly. The pan washes easily and looks great because of the nice stainless steel. The pan itself is a nice thick pan but not too heavy.

Bought this pan one year ago. After just 3 months small black spots started showing up inside on the bottom of the pan. I believe the stainless finish is so thin it is already wearing off. I have a set from the 1970's and this never happened. I have not used the 2 quart pan yet. I hope the same thing doesn't happen, but I am guessing it will. They just don't make them like they used to!

Toxic odor

I bought this to replace an old existing one I have that I like a lot. I ordered both the 1qt and the 2qt. The 1qt (not the 2qt) had a strong toxic odor that would not come out no matter how many times I washed it (with dish soap, baking soda, vinegar), and the smell leeched into the rice that I first tried to make in it making it taste horrible. I am VERY disappointed in this version of the pot. As I mentioned, the 2qt had no odor and is just fine, so I don't know if they were manufactured in different places or if the 1qt had some specific fault with the coating, I presume.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Classic and Timeless

They are lightweight, not too bulky and cook food perfectly. The stainless steel is also a beautiful addition to any kitchen. These pots have never let me down. If you are looking for a set of pots that will last, and will help you make perfect meals, then the Farberware Classic Stainless Steel pots and pans are for you. I promise they won't let you down.

Durable quality saucepan

The stainless steel saucepan is really good quality and this is my new favorite saucepan in the kitchen. I liked the nob lid that comes with it because I can check food and stir time to time while cooking. It has a nice heat proof handle to grip and hold the saucepan.
