Didn't fit my 17in Envy Laptop

I had a hard time trying to fit my new Envy 17 inch into this case, so I gave it away and bought another that fits up to 17.3 inches, made by another vendor. The person who I gave it to says their 15 inch screen laptop fits perfectly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

too small

HP listed this case for the laptop I bought. The case is WAY TOO SMALL. Completely useless for the laptop. I'm using it as storage for documentation, power and connection cords. It's ridiculously bulky for that purpose. I'll end up giving it away.
For some other purpose the case is nicely built, lightweight, lots of padding.. On the downside, once you put something bulking in one section, even just a power cord, the other two get so crammed tight, they're useless.

SwissGear Sherpa Laptop Carrying Case

Not too bad for the money. Padding/shock protection is not its strong suit.compared to the one that I got from Dell a few years ago. Laptops are both 17 inchers. Dell case will withstand some airport baggage area carousels, but this one from Swiss Gear...probably not. For storing stuff..papers & things...this case shines. It has lots of pockets and storage areas.
I would recommend this to a friend!

tight fit

The only real problem is the compartment to slide the computer into is really tight. I would redesign with a larger compartment with a zipper that will open to larger area. Other wise good materials and great construction.

Well designed and built SHERPA

Wenger did a nice job designing and building the Sherpa. I use it to hold my Envy 17 and related support. It is nice that the carry strap folds nicely along the bottom of the case and does not flop around when not needed. There are sufficent interior pockets. The visual workmanship is very good. A nice product.

This bag has plenty of storage pockets and room for not only a 17" laptop but extra items like other electronic gear. Please note that a 17" HP laptop is a SNUG fit in the main compartment.

Was very impressed withe the quality and ruggedness of this product. It's thickness and ample room for a 17 inch laptop and all needed accessories makes up for the above average price.
