Very noisy. Takes too long to process info and then print. Quality of photos not as good as my cheap printer. Once it starts printing text, the quality is excellent but who wants to wait for it to rev up?
Paper tray not sturdy so sometimes the printed papers fall all over the floor.
Good feature is back to back and a large amount of paper may be loaded.

Dependable!

Has worked well. I have it in a dusty enviornment where the temperature swings +/- 20 degrees around room temperature. Occasional paper jams I credit more to humidity and the paper. It has performed so well, I may just buy another for the home.

Great printer

Replaced wired printer. WIFI was very easy to set up and was recognized immediately. Can now print from anywhere and any computer. Print is very good along with colors. Has double-sided print to save paper. Nice feature that you do not have to turn printer on or off. Print speed very good. Copying works well along with color copies. With scanning, have no need to fax but has the capability. Retired but this printer would satisfy small business and departmental needs easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Brother MFC-J5910DW review

In the short time I've had the printer, it seems to work as it should, prints quickly, and interacts with the network fine. Haven't had long enough to evaluate any cost savings on ink vs toner. Appears to be a good printer for the cost.

My dream machine...

I was starting a new job where I work from home, but I have to scan multi-page documents and do moderate printing. A multi-page feeder for scanning was essential. We also needed a printer that would work from our old Windows Vista desktop with a wired connection, and wireless with my new Windows 7 laptop. And on top of that, we wanted to have a machine that was economical to buy and use. Thr Brother MFC-J5910DW was simple to install with both the wired and wireless connections, following the well-written installation instructions. Adding my wireless laptop was simple, and when our daughter came home from from college we were able to add her laptop (Windows Vista) to the wireless printer as well. The scanning and copying works flawlessly, I have scanned 32 pages with no problems. Printing is fast with good quality. Although I expected the initial start-up ink cartridges to run out after a half dozen pages, we are still printing with them after 2 months of moderate use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
