Bought mine in late October 2012. Set up was easy, and so far no problems except for not being able to start the WIA (Windows Acquisition Service) which appears to be a software problem with the OS, not the printer. This means I can't scan directly from the machine to a folder, but have to perform this function through the keyboard. Until I resolve this, it's really not a problem therefore, I have to say the All-In-One is a good system and I have no problems recommending this unit. I have used a similar older Brother unit at work and had no problems with that one either.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The unit works well, with pretty good color output. Haven't tried using photo paper yet. Like the ledger capability - one of the reasons why I bought this particular machine. No idea how it works for incoming faxes as I use MYFax and get incoming faxes in my email. Outgoing works fine. We'll see how it stands up under relatively light usage - hoping for the best.

Very nice features and functionality except for wireless performance. The printer would often stop printing part way through a page and then eject the sheet. The same thing would happen sometimes during wireless scanning. I liked the duplex printing and the large format but I needed the wireless. I have another wireless printer which does not have this problem when operated at the same location so I don't think that the problem is the WAP. I have returned the printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my Brother MFC-J8910DW Printer/Copier/Scanner.....I am a Realtor and it is very important to me to be able to scan a complete contract package, which can be up to 30 pages. This machine can do it and without any issues. I have owned Brother printers in the past and loved them too. It is a Great machine to have. The ink is not real expensive and it lasts along time, prints out really nice color, and is easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The printer was easy to set up and I got the printer, scanner, fax and copy settings set up in less that 2 hours (over two days). Love the wireless capability, it is so convenient. It prints fast (unlike my old Epson printer) and the print quality is excellent. The scanner makes beautiful, clear scans. And, it prints double-sided too! How awesome is that. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a lot larger than I expected, but still fits in my office quite nicely.

Excelent multi function for it's price. Annoying noise while printing. Paper jams are constant (needed to be repaired & then replaced).
