Dishwasher door not closing completely (but dishwasher will still run)? Water leaking? A day after this dishwasher was installed we started having issues with this dishwasher not staying closed, and eventually water was leaking on the floor. We opened the dishwasher and found that the installers left styrofoam packaging in the dishwasher, but the dishwasher door still was not staying closed. After playing around with it, I found the issue was the middle rack. There is a hole in the back of the dishwasher that feeds the water to the top water dispenser that has a rubber gasket around it. The gasket has to fit into the back of the middle rack perfectly, but in order for it to fit you have to push the middle rack REALLY hard (Sometimes one side at a time) so that it seals. After doing this you will notice that the dishwasher door will actually close. I hope this helps anyone who already purchased this dishwasher, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING THIS. You should not have to do this when you spend this much on a dishwasher!
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unfortunately several issues

Nice looking, but has several issues. Initially door would not stay shut through cycle, stopping as many as 5 times. After a service call, it seemed to work OK. Still have excessive moisture on top of door on controls and underside of counter. Will not come close to drying dishes without running drying cycle. Several dishes did not come clean on middle rack. Have problems loading dishes as tines seem too short and plates fall over. Like the 3rd rack on top for silverware.
Pros: clean design
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Product Has Bugs to be worked out

We spent the extra money to buy the new waterwall dishwasher and don't think we are getting our money's worth. My wife has to constantly fight with the main bottom rack when fully loaded as it is constantly getting off the rails and wants to go back in sideways. The metal supports are not high enough for large dishes and the dishes fall over. The diswasher we replaced did not have these problems
Pros: looks good on the outside
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poor design bottom rack
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had high hopes for all new Samsung appliances, all delivered except the dishwasher. Everything seems to work, it just doesn't clean the dishes. If something goes in dirty it comes out dirty. Worst dishwasher ever.
Pros: beautiful machine
Cons: Did not meet expectations, does not clean dishes
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy Ms. Samsung, HQ, November 13, 2014
I'm sorry to hear your DW80H9950US is not meeting your expectations, mnhmw. I would suggest checking the Troubleshooting Tips provided in the User Manual and online to make sure the issues aren't related to installation or something easily fixable, such as cleaning the spray nozzles. If that doesn't solve the problem, please follow this link to request assistance from Samsung's Support Team: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/request
Thank you, Ms. Samsung

I had a problem with my first dishwasher. It set the LE code. They replaced it. The second one started to display the same problem the 1st one had and then I figured out what the problem was. The door should close without any effort. If it does not open the dishwasher and pull the upper rack all the way out. It may take a little extra effort to get it to its limit then push in back in and all is perfect again. The door will close with ease. I have had to do this about once a week but it keeps the door closing without any effort. I do think this is a great dishwasher.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a typical dishwasher

Let me first say that I was aware of the issues some had reported with this dishwasher in various reviews and on different sites. I also will state that I didn't spend full retail obtaining this machine. I checked and rechecked every aspect of installation. The only issue so far has been the door not closing fully. Thanks to Samsung Customer Service, this issue was quickly resolved. Apparently, the top racks ball bearing guide rails don't take being pushed & pulled from any angle other than dead center using the handle embedded in the rack itself. Not a big deal to me. This "quirk" is easily fixed by extending the rack fully and then with moderate pressure pulling forward on the rack till the rack is at the end of the rail stops. Push the rack back in fully (again using the handle) and viola door closes properly. I like the quietness and performance of the dishwasher and expect that it will live up to the Samsung level of quality that I have come to expect and experience.
Pros: Durable, quiet, cleans well, large capacity
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Design, Cheap Parts and Quality

Buyer beware!!!!! I, like many others, am also experiencing an issue with leaking at the top of the door. They say the middle rack doesn't seat properly which causes the door to remain partially open while the dishwasher runs. Steam leaks out of the top of the door, collects on the bottom of the countertop, then runs down the cabinets and onto the kithen floors. Even if you make sure the middle rack seats properly, it still pops out when water pressure is applied during wash. How does this not get resolved during Samsung product testing or quality assurance? Currently can't run the dishwasher because I can't risk further damage to the cabinets. Called Samsung for service, had an appointment 3 days later. The repairman looked at it and said he needed to order new rails for the middle rack which will take a week to get in. 10 days is a long time to be without a brand new dishwasher. If this is a common issue for this model, how can Samsung not have repair parts ready? This experience may keep me from considering Samsung for further appliance purchases.
