Great phone but...

This is an upgrade from the Galaxy II S for me. I would still have the II S if it hadn't been for an unexpected crash. Good excuse to upgrade. The LED light, two cameras and very fast processing time are all a gerat plus. A bit disappointed in the case. Very much a step down from the II S with it's metal back. The Skyrocket has a plastic back so that if you have to get into the phone much I can see it not lasting very long. Makes it feel cheap. An external protection case is needed as the plastic is slippery and slides out of the shirt pocket and across the dashboard.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: cheap case
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone, but poor battery

I have had this phone for 3 weeks now, and I am quite happy with it (I previously had an Iphone 4). It has a very bright and vibrant screen, and a large display (which is both a pro and a con as the phone doesn't fit in small hands well). The touch screen is quite sensitive and has a good feel. Call quality is very good. Although the Android OS is effective, I'm hoping it will be upgradable to the new OS Ice Cream Sandwich.
The big con is battery life. While Android phones have this problem generally, the one on the Skyrocket is particularly short lived. It will last a day if not used often during the day. If the phone is used often, the battery may be spent by mid to late afternoon. I would definitely get a car charger for it. If not for the battery, this phone would get 5 stars.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: very poor battery life, a bit big but that makes the picture better

I am an iPhone convert. I was skeptical because of the bad past experiences I have had with Android based phones. This phone, however, has voided such concerns.
Animations and OS functionality are smooth and reliable. The clarity, brilliance and over all quality of the screen are amazing. Being left handed, the concerns with button placement does not bother me. I have yet to accidentally lock my phone.
Battery life was bad at first, but once I got rid of the bloatware, I get very good battery life as long as I'm not using the phone to its peak performance possible for extended times.
The slick back makes the phone hard to hold on to, other than that, the phone design is great. I would like to have seen an external led to show when I have a message, but I can manage without. (since my iPhone didn't have one either.)
Over all, I am blown away and truly happy with this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
I would recommend this to a friend!

The phone has a great looking screen, excellent processor speeds, and just over good utility as a smartphone.
The apps are great the user interface is simple and easy to use, no problem making the switch from iphone.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: it seems cheaper because of the plastics used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This thing is like a small tablet. I had some issues with contacts and syncing with my Kenwood bluetooth in my car stereo but figured it out fairly quickly. I use Exchange and Gmail. Gmail had no issues but getting the Exchange contacts imported took a little work and was not straight forward.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: none

Samsung Galaxy S™ II Skyrocket™ (Black) Android Smartphone

I carried a Samsung Soltice for almost 3 years and loved it. I only upgraded because everyone said it was time for me to enter the "Smart Phone" age. I like the Skyrocket the more I use it, but the reason I loved my Soltice was the voice dial software on it was outstanding. The is no such software on the Skyrocket. In this day and time where more and more states are passing laws to where you have to use cell phones hands free I feel that this is a big oversight by Samsung. I have been able to find an app that allows me to voice dial, but it is not always the greatest. Other than this feature I have found little else wrong, but maybe I am the onlyone that uses a bluetooth device all the time. I am still using a samsung one that I bought three years ago. I think that they are important enough to use That I have bought 6 of them for various people in my family. Battery life is also problem. If you use the phone for more than a phone you had better have a place to recharge in about 2-4 hours.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, great dpwnload speeds.
Cons: no voice dial software included, battery life short

Not what I've come to expect...

I love the phone... don't get me wrong. Its just not up to par with the high standards I've come to expect from a Samsung device. The Screen, while large and vibrant, is a lot lower resolution than expected. The body, while sleek and attractive, feels flimsy and weak the button location leaves a lot to be desired as well.
Do I like my phone?... Very much. Do I love my device?... Not so much.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, very expensive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
