Was good while it lasted

I was happy with my product until it stopped working after less then two years. It started acting odd by staying on after the timer ended then finally one time it just stopped before time ended and now it won't go back on. It lights up and time is on but won't heat up....wonder if this is why it is no longer available

Lasted just over one year- conveniently just past the 1 year warranty expiration. Just completely went dead while cooking. No more GE microwaves for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the looks of this model, and the price was reasonable. However, it slides often on the counter when closing the door or pushing the buttons. It also sometimes does not cook the food well when using the sensor buttons (vegetables, popcorn buttons). It also had a very strong plastic ordor that still lingers after 2 months. Finally, the top is a bit flimsy--it goes in when lightly pushed down. I had to buy this microwave because the one we had and like died after only 3 years.....I'm hoping this one will at least last 5 and that GE is still a good brand name.

After 6 months is does not power on. A complete paper weight... disappointing considering it's seen minimal use.

Oven works great, and since it is no longer manufactured, there is no point in telling you what I view as its shortcomings. And I'm not giving you my name or anything else.

Only lasted 2 years!

My first microwave was a General Electric. It worked from 1985 to 1999 without problems. Two years ago I bought this model and it has recently stopped working. Unfortunately, the warranty was only for a year. So disappointed. It will not be replaced with a GE model.
