Great kids device

This tablet has great functionality for kids. With built in kids mode, my daughter is safe to play to her hearts content. If your looking for a tablet for adults, the tab 4 is a better fit.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, kids mode
Cons: slow processor, low internal ram

I love the galaxy brand, it's simple and yet ad technical as i need it to be ad well as potable which means that I no longer have to carry my laptop every where.

Back "button" hard to see in low light

The back "button" is hard to locate in low light making the arrow have a back light would make it easier to see. Not as good volume/sound as my Kindle Fire HD.

I bought the Samsung S 7 tablet 16g 3 months ago. It comes fully loaded with tons of apps. I added an 8g memory chip because it came free with the purchase. Very good screen resolution, colors are terrific and sound is excellent. Serious bang for the buck all around.
I'm thinking about getting another one in a larger size. My senior citizen eyes need icons and web pages that are a bit larger and easier to see. I'm currently browsing for a refurbished 10.1.
My one and only suggestion would be to make the user manual user friendly. As currently written, it's not. I'm guessing it assumes the user is familiar with smart phones and tablets already.
I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great tablet.

Cons: a bit heavier than i expected but not a big deal.

Phenomenal Battery Life!

The area of design is the only place that I gave this great value tablet 4 stars an that's mostly because I felt a little guilt going full tilt with all 5 stars in all areas. Was a little slippery to handle at first. I had had a more expensive model before and that one had a rubber feel grip on the back...so I was spoiled. But I've since gotten used to handling my new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. I take it everywhere. It is very durable. I don't abuse it, but I don't baby it either...and I do not carry it around in a case! This thing is just solid! And like I said I was very shocked at the slow battery drain!!! Especially with playing videos (I use a Netflix app a lot)...it's just not like any other device I've had, in terms of battery life. You could actually not watch the battery indicator and be pleasantly surprised that the battery drained much less than it seemed like it should have (and would with any another device you're used to using)!! All in all I feel like I might have (finally) gotten more than my money's worth with this purchase! I caught a sale.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, unexpectedly robust battery life!
Cons: can't honestly seriously think of one
