We purchased it 2/28/17 and are not satisfied for 4 reasons. 1) The freezer regardless of the temperature setting is either too warm for the food, or ice forms on the rear wall when a colder setting is used. The dealer's repair man told us that the refrigerator's setting actually controls the freezer, so we have to keep the fridge setting too cold. Why is there a separate setting for the freezer which does not work? 2) There is no light in the freezer. 3) The supposedly adjustable freezer shelf cannot be moved. (Even the dealer struggled to move the floor model's shelf at the store.) 4) Due to the layout of the freezer's vents, there is a lot of wasted space where food cannot be put, because airflow would be impeded.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's okay, not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 20-year old GE refrigerator kept my ice cream more frozen than this brand new Frigidaire. I have to make it colder than normal. Rather discouraging. And the freezer air vents are placed in an area that could inavertently be covered by food in the freezer. Bad placement. The shelf in the freezer are impossible to adjust, so I'm afraid it will break if I force it too much. Consequently, I left it with a small space below and a much larger space above. Also, there is no designated ice cube tray area. As a result, the ice cube trays take up valuable freezer space. I realize this model refrigerator is at the lower price end, but does it have to be so bare bones with poor design features?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some ice cream with a high cream (fat) content may not freeze rock hard or may take longer to freeze solid. If it is only the ice cream that is not freezing solid, please move the ice cream to the back of the freezer where the temperature may be colder. Please adjust the freezer temperature to the coldest setting. Great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this seven months ago n am very happy with it. When the door is left, the buzzer beeps n let us know we didn't shut the door completely. Customer service is very good n when I reported the broken door handle, we got two new handles in no time.

First year, it worked great...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just days before the one year warranty was set to expire, the compressor went out on our refrigerator. The business who sold us the refrigerator took it to their business, replaced the compressor, and it worked for about a week. It then would stop working (mainly the freezer) off and on. It is still at their shop, and they are trying to figure out what is going on.
