I've owned these for two years now. The image quality is superb and the focusing is butter smooth. Being waterproof these were a great addition to our boat tour of Milfred sound in New Zealand allowing us to see waterfall details that would damage conventional binoculars. I fitted mine with two 52mm transparent filters to preserve the coatings on the objective lenses. The front lens caps are fussy to install due to the lenses being so far forward on their housings but work fine once you snap them in place. This was undoubtedly designed to keep the binoculars as compact as possible. Regardless of which manufacturer or model of IS binoculars you might consider buying, keep in mind that image stabilization can do only so much. It does NOT help in a wildly pitching boat just as one example. And also that the lower the magnification (I think 10x is as low as you can get) the image will be brighter and more stable at lower rather than higher magnification. These are also excellent for astronomy where you can sweep the night sky for incredible detail. I would recommend them.
