Great phone, great OS!! Super thin yet durable feel. Samsung once again proves that they are at the top of the mobile device food chain. Everything about the hardware is supreme. Windows Phone 7.5 is superb. Thinking about getting a Galaxy S2? Looking for a fresh new streamlined OS that will leave the others in the dust? Then go with the Samsung Focus S. You won't be disappointed!
Pros: menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, durable, ease of use, good for texting

Nice Upgrade from Focus

Had a Focus and really enjoyed. With the Focus S I can now use Tango App. Windows phones are the perfect solution for me. I have friends with Androids, and my whole family has iPhones. Everyone try's to talk me in to switching to one or the other.......NO WAY! Windows phones are just as good if not better, and much easier to use. Plus I like the font size on my Windows phones.
Now...AT&T/Stores - Please bring in some cases for the Focus S!!!! Also, time to bring 4G to the SF Bay Area.
Pros: tools, menus, camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting

This phone is simply put, excellent - the Windows Mango interface is far more intuitive that any other phone out there. The device is quick and responsive and the screen on this phone is amazing!
The only two things I don't like:
1) The camera button is in a bad spot if you're right handed and use the phone with one hand - you'll likely clip the camera button often, kicking on the camera. This can be remedied with a snap on case.
2) Lack of accessories...a charging dock would be great, but Samsung kind of dropped the ball with this unless they're still working on getting one out there, but thier focus seems to be on Android devices.
Pros: menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: camera button, lack of accessories

I absolutely love this phone, the display is very bright, and the battery last all day with very heavy use.
The Windows Phone OS is truely breathtaking. It's a shame AT&T doesn't promote it more. It is truely impressive. Fluid and fast. The Camera is great, both front and back. It is super thin, about 1/3 the thinkness and weight on an Iphone 4s.
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting

Best WP phone yet.

Despite the efforts of three ATT employees to steer me away from a Windows Phone, I upgraded from the original Focus, with which I was completely satisfied, and couldn't be happier. The WP OS just got better with Mango. It's fast, fun, and stylish. I love that it incorporates features like Facebook, barcode scanning, etc. without having to download a dozen apps.
The hardware is equally satisfying. The phone is ridiculously thin and light, but doesn't feel flimsy. The Super AMOLED Plus screen is just the right size and looks amazing: bright, sharp, and much improved in sunlight. The auto dimming feature can be annoying and the low setting under brightness settings is too low, but turning it off and selecting medium solves the problem. Battery life is improved over the original Focus, I can easily go all day on a charge with fairly regular use if the phone. I don't use the camera much, but the 8MP camera works well. Every picture I've taken has looked great. Flash is very bright.
Overall, a terrific phone. Originally I was so satisfied with the Focus that I had no intentions of upgrading, but after demoing the Focus S in store I decided to get one and I'm certainly glad I did. Love it!
Pros: games, camera/video quality, battery life, ease of use, operating system, light weight build, super amoled plus screen

I've had the Focus S about 1-1/2 months and love it. Setting it up with Windows Live, MS Exchange, and all my emails was a breeze. Connecting to Zune Marketplace is a snap. Everything about this phone is buttery smooth. The UI is an absolute joy to use. Just went on a vacation with the family, used camera a bunch (with upload to SkyDrive), GPS, video chat, texting, phone, location apps, etc. and still ahd 20% battery left over at the end of the 14-16 hour day.
Pros: games, camera/video quality, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, samoled screen, build
Cons: limited memory

Outstanding phone with an amazing mobile OS

Sometimes a device actually exceeds expectations...and that's the case with the Focus S. I upgraded from the original Focus - which has been a phenomenal phone in its own right. This is not only a great design, it makes the Windows Phone 7 experience even more elegant, intuitive, and enjoyable. It's only competition is at the top end of the Android group...but, frankly, Android pales in comparison with WP7. As for iPhones and the clunky iOS...it's got SIRI...not much else going for it. I cannot understand why anyone would choose the iPhone over a WP7 unit once they've actually tried them. There really is no comparison.
This phone is what the mobile experience is supposed to be like.
I have no problem with battery life, even with that brilliant big screen set on the maximum brightness. As for the lightness and thin design. it's actually quite rugged and solid, which makes it all the more impressive.
The Windows Phone 7 OS really is the future of mobile communication. This Samsung Focus S brings out all of the virtues.
Pros: tools, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, camera/video quality, brilliant screen, wp7 smoothness and functionality, great call quality, excellent voice recognition and control
Cons: lots of keys...have to get used to them

Out with the old, in with the new -- WP7 rocks!

The mobile device market is extremely competitive, with many great devices vying for your attention. I initially considered at the 4G LTE Android offerings, but the style, ease of use, and responsiveness of the WP OS won me over. The hub concept is one that we’ll likely begin to see in Android soon and eventually iOS – it just makes sense. But for now, WP has it and it makes using the phone a breeze. Whether it’s interacting with people or Office documents or games, WP makes it seamless and efficient – even fun! The media player is also substantially better than what I’ve had in other devices. I’m also using Spotify for music, but I’m considering the Zune pass since it’s better integrated with the built-in media player. The overall user interface and experience is a breath of fresh air, and it makes other platforms look somewhat outdated.
Favorite things: integrated apps everywhere makes for nice surprises. For example, the search app can also be used to tag music (aka Shazam), read QVR/UPC codes, scan and translate text, find a book/dvd (by scanning cover), and more.
Pros: Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, games, durable, microsoft office, tiles & hubs, integrated apps
