Well designed software, great hardware

After my contract with my old phone company expired with a Blackberry bold, I was in the market for a new smart phone. The blackberry is now inferior in its interface compared to the competition, with the Apple iOS, Android, and the Windows phone. I was impartial to all three, and wanted to pick the one I found was BEST, not what other people thought was the best thing since sliced bread *cough Apple*. Android was cool, but its interface was a bit messy for me and I felt like it required the superior hardware offered such as the dual core phones. Apple was limited exclusively to the iPhone, and I felt it was a lot more expensive than the hardware suggested. Ended up with the Windows phone. I learned how to use it well just after a few hours of playing with it, its smooth, never froze on me yet, all the apps are well integrated. The phone has a gorgeous display, and the fact that all the people, contacts, facebook updates, etc are all integrated and quick to pull is amazing.
Pros: tools, menus, camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, windows 7.5
Cons: battery life

Amazing Phone

This is an amazing phone! It is very light and thin, yet incredibly powerful. The Windows Phone operating system is amazing fast and smooth on this device. It is also very easy to use, and fall in love with. The display is also very large and vibrant. I would highly recommend this phone to any current or non-current smart phone user!
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting

Lightweight but full of power!

My first reaction when I picked up this phone was 'Wow! It's so LIGHT'. Especially compared to the device I was using before it. Its slim form factor and light weight design make this phone ideal for being carried in a jeans pocket without adding bulk or feeling unconformtable.
There are a few bugs in the phone which I'm sure will be worked out with a firmware release. Mainly 'audio cracking' when Zune music tracks change when connected to aux cables.
I am also very impressed with the camera and video quality.
It's also great to have built in HSPA+ for "4G" speeds. Compared to network speeds on my former carrier, this phone is super fast when browsing and downloading on HSPA+ network segments.
Pros: camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, hspa+
Cons: software bugs

The Best WP7 so far !!

This is one gentle giant of a phone. It's really smooth, fast and responsive. I am amazed at the speed at which the apps open and you can switch between various tasks.
I really love the interface and the way facebook, linkedin and twitter has been so tightly coupled with the contacts.
The screen is just MAGNIFICENT ! It is sooo light and thin that I hardly remember that it's in my pocket.
As far as the misconception that there are not much apps in the windows phone marketplace ..that just not true. I have been able to get an app for pretty much everything I use daily -> banking, music, news, social, sports !
The world is seriously missing a great fresh new OS on a amazing piece of hardware if they don't get this !

Amazing Phone!

Windows Phone OS is amazing and this phone lets it shine. Big, beautiful 4.3" display, which just must be seen to be appreciated (video looks fabulous). Even with all that screen real estate, the phone is so thin and light that it fits in a jeans pocket without a problem. Great 8MP camera, plus a 1.3MP front facing camera for video calls.
Skydrive & Office integration is seamless and very cool, as is the social networking integration--just awesome! Tellme speech recognition works fabulously for just about everything (texting, search, music, launching apps, etc.)
Plenty of memory for me (16GB) and also the battery life has been totally satisfactory for me.
Just try this phone!

Blows my old iphone out of the water.

Prior to this phone I had an Iphone. This phone has filled my every need. The ease at which I can navigate and browse the internet are of the most important. Office integration rocks solidly and the full integration of the social services (Facebook, twitter and Linked in) make keeping up with friends very simple

Me and my wife were tired of iPhone lack of innovation for over the last two years, so I tested Mango in my work and got in love first day. We ordered the Titan and the Focus S to test and decide. The Titan is in deed titanic, bulky and heavy but the Focus... I got in love... la la la... The right size, so light and slim that almost looks fake. The display looks more than great, if you put any SLCD next to it, the LCD looks like Neanderthal technology, specially in a dark environment like your car, restaurant, plane, etc... After you see for a while the ink quality colors and blacks in the Focus S, all other displays look baloney. The Camera is decent for a phone with a great Macro mode and anti shake, but the flash so-so. You can get your picture in a totally dark room at 3 or 5 feet away only. The construction looks neat, with a metal edge, and an thin and ultralight back cover made from fiber. This cover is independent from any hardware elements and has a grainy surface to keep the phone in place. Push buttons take a while to get used, specially the standby if you come from iPhone, but the camera shutter button has a two stage design as in the dedicated cameras what helps taking better focused pictures. This is specially helpful with the macro mode if you have to do casual pictures of tiny parts, small font labels, etc.

Amazing Phone!! Has all the slick features

The Layout of the phone on the home page is great. Its a big break from the 'Icons' kind of home screen which has become boring. The people's hub is the best part of this phone with integrated messaging.
Cons: All IM messages are treated as SMS messages even if you are on WiFi. This was a shock to me. The phone does not have dedicated Windows Live/Google Talk/Yahoo or any other IM messengers. So basically you cant send a file over IM or do any of the other stuff which an Messenger application allows you to do. I finally had to turn off IM on my phone which was the phone's best feature since I did not want to take a SMS pack along with the Data pack.
