Don't buy this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is no light in this freezer! I have to use a flashlight to see what's inside. Very inconvenient. I wish I hadn't bought this model.

Hi Stpi, I can certainly understand how hard it is to locate things without a light in your freezer. I have an upright freezer that didn’t come with this as well, which often leads me to pick up the wrong things. Ouch! Although your freezer does not have a light, the good news is, it has a lot of great features like the arcticlock walls; which keeps food frozen for over two days if there is a power outage. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went the inexpensive route so we accept some minor noise. Temp stays consistant. Didn't get frost free and regret it. Will have to defrost every 3 months.

TSC44, thank you for sharing your upright freezer review with us. To avoid frequent defrosting, occasionally use a plastic scraper to remove frost. Scrape with a pulling motion. NEVER use a metal instrument to remove frost. Page 13 in your Owner’s Manual addresses the normal operating sounds your freezer will exhibit. freezer, right size for a garage, at a good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After about one month, the thermostat stuck, so everything thawed. Might have had some ice buildup in the thermostat, because once it thawed, it started working and refroze everything. Lowered the thermostat setting from 4 to 5, it's been working fine for about a month. Should we trust it to work right for years?
