door hard to open, thermostat has no effect

The door is very hard to open even if I let it stay closed after opening. The thermostat has no effect on the inside temperature. The instructions pamphlet is useless.

Hello, BeeeeeeTeeeeee! Thank you for your review. Your feedback is important to us and has not gone unnoticed. When the freezer door is opened, warm air rushes in-side. When you close the door, all the warm air rushes to the evaporator which causes a vacuum seal. This will cause the door to be hard to open for about 10 to 15 seconds after closing. Good Basic freezer

Bought from a local dealer, received a good price, and they delivered promptly and professionally. The only issue is that it is difficult to open the door (at least for my wife). Not sure why ... seems the seal is very tight. If not for that, I'd give 5 stars. I would recommend.

Best beer fridge ever
