Ice Formed Inide on Top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this freezer being a satisfied Frigidaire owner for over 20 years..which was also an upright frost free frigudaire. Noticed my old freezer was not cooling as it should. Decided to go ahead and get a new one before it died. (Hmmm still alive) of course chose another upright frost free which is not so frost free there is ice on the top inside of the freezer, my old one came with a basket this one not..Anyway my son needed a freezer so I gave him my old one which is still working just fine (my lost his gain) I would still give Frigidaire a chance because of my first experience. Still hope the ice problem can be taken care of

If you are experiencing frost build up in your appliance, please check to make sure that the door has not been left slightly open, or check to see if the door is closing properly. If the weather is hot and humid, the rate of internal frost buildup can increase. Large amounts of warm or hot food might have been stored recently, can also start frost build up. There should be no more than 2 to 3 pounds of unfrozen food added at any one time. A tightly packed freezer will lead to poor air circulation, which could also create frost build up.
