Just what we needed

I love that this freezer is stand up with shelves so I can see what I have stored. It fit perfectly going down my stairs and into my basement. The price was perfect for what we wanted and we’re very happy with our purchase.

Tough Door to Open

While it cools fine, it is extremely difficult to open the door, and I have to wait 45 seconds after closing the door, to be able to open it again.

When I first got the freezer, as soon as the cooling was turned on, the door seal became so tight that I had to hold the freezer with one hand, the door handle with another, and stabilize the bottom of the freezer with my foot, in order to prevent the whole appliance from tipping over when I pulled the door open.
Service guy replaced the air valve at the bottom of the freezer. This has helped loosen the tight seal, but I still have to use both hands and a foot when opening the door.
He said he's never seen this problem with this model brand new freezer. He's had it happen later on.
I'm wondering, will I soon get locked out of my freezer?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your door seal experience with us, doorproblem. The tightness in the door seal indicates that the gasket is sealing properly. The gasket will loosen up over time. If you're opening the freezer, I suggest gently sliding your hand around the gasket and door frame to loosen the seal so that you can open the door. I hope this helps! Unique Feature!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge because we needed an extra. It is 100% fridge with no frills. It is kept in the garage. We were able to keep it in the garage because of one unique feature that most other fridges don't have. It won't shut down, even if it gets below 32 degrees. Do your homework. We have friends in the same situation, but their fridges regularly shut down in the winter.

Nice refrigerator
