Solid Second Refridgerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to hold the spillover from our primary fridge (a fancy counter depth that does not hold enough essentials for a family of four). It performs admirably and lives in our basement. I give it four stars instead of five because of the door storage, they are not adjustable (ok for this price point), but the storage rows are not spaced far enough apart from top to bottom to accommodate beer bottles, milk, juice or bottled water. They would be great if you only have canned items to store.k On the plus side, the fridge keeps temperature is large (roomy interior - can fit a pizza box) and runs quietly. I also have not noticed a noticeable uptick in my electric consumption. All in all, a very solid fridge, fix the door shelving and it would be a great fridge.

A fine freezer that could use some tweaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new Frigidaire 16.6 cu. ft. upright freezer does a fine job. At a medium setting it maintains our preferred temp of -2 degrees F. The interior is well lighted, making items easy to find. And it really is quite spacious, providing plenty of room for all the items we want to keep in it.
It does have a couple of flaws, however. First, it has a space for one more shelf than is provided. Without that shelf, one section of the freezer is about two feet high, which leaves lots of unusable space. We bought an extra shelf -- at a cost of more than $30! The second problem is that it requires more force than is comfortable to open the door. In fact, if you don't brace the freezer body, opening the door actually moves the freezer a couple of inches, which disturbs its leveling.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Versatile & Efficient

Our Frost Free Freezer is doing a wonderful job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE had a good freezer that we had had for about 10 years but is was not frost free and we knew that a frost free freezer would be a big improvement. So now we have this Frigidaire that just purrs and there is no frost, and this model has a wonderful bright light on the freezer ceiling that is placed at the outer edge of the shelf so its light up everything that is in the freezer. I put a thermostat in just to check the setting that was set by one of the two men that delivered to us.
That setting is plus 5 degrees and I feel that setting for our frost free food freezer. It is in our garage and it is so quite that you have to stop I listen to here it. We did order the extra shelf that was not included, for we needed that shelf.
We feel that most people would probably order that shelf because we do not
have large items to store. Most everything is like jars of jam, meat, left overs, frozen
fruits and meat. All of these do not stack well in our shelfs for we do not like to
have more than 2 or 3 high and many of the jars are not quart jars. Also the
meats, frozen berries are not flat packages and they do not stack well when this
critical shelf was not included in the freezer when we purchased it.
