[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this freezer to replace an older model that was 20 plus years old and had a failed compressor. This model has approximately the same capacity, however; it has thicker walls and the overall dimensions are larger. I think it is better insulated than the previous model. This model makes gurgling sounds when it runs. It stays outside in the store room so that does not bother us. The gurgling noises are normal as per the manual. The only thing I do not like is that it has plastic adjustable feet as opposed to the metal ones on the older freezer. The floor in our store room has a rough (non slip) cement finish, like you would find on a sidewalk. When pushing the freezer into place across the floor the feet experienced considerable wear.
