No automatic Defrost

No where that I saw was it mentioned that this was not a frost free unit. With today's technology no one knowingly buys a unit they are going to have to remove food from every couple of months to chop out the ice. Of course now that it is a couple of months later, I doubt I can return the unit for a frost free unit or get credit for it.

Manual Defrost Freezer

We purchased this freezer early 2015. It is large and works fine, BUT I would not recommend it. We asked to purchase the largest freezer possible and specified we did NOT want a manual defrost. Couldn't figure out why there was so much frost...got a service call to check it out. Guess what? The technician delivered the sad news...not broken...just manual defrost. I depended on and expected the sales staff to know what is and isn't manual defrost. I would never knowingly buy something with antiquated technology that requires you to remove all of the food and use a hairdryer to melt the frost and deal with the draining water in an area that is near carpet. Truly disappointed we're stuck with this freezer!

I BOUGHT THIS AND DIDN'T KNOW IT IS MANUAL DEFROSTING.. IT ACUMULATES A LOT ICE AND I HAVE TO TAKE ALL MY FOOD OUT TO DEFROST IT.. I work as a personal chef and do not have time for this

I bought this a few months ago, it is a frost free unit. After a week, it has frosted over and makes a funny humming sound. I can't seem to keep it de frosted.
