Lots of freezer room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door is hard to open. You have to hold the freeze to keep it from falling forward when you open the door. Also frost builds up inside in a short time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gold one, thank you for sharing your freezer experience with us. When the door is closed it creates a vacuum, making the door harder to open for a couple of minutes. After shutting the door, wait 2 minutes before opening the door again, to allow the internal pressure to equalize. To help ease the opening of your door, use a finger to move the gasket away from the body of the freezer. This will break the seal (that keeps the cold air in), and allow the door to open easier. Your model is not listed as frost free, so you will see frost building up. To avoid frequent defrosting, occasionally use a plastic scraper to remove frost. Scrape with a pulling motion. Never use a metal instrument to remove frost. You will find more information on defrosting your freezer on page 9 of your Owner’s Manual. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth
