My First Electrolux Double Wall Oven

The gliding shelves were the selling point to me and all of the features are wonderful. However, had I known that the racks had to be removed for cleaning I might have thought twice about the purchase. I have had self-cleaning ovens for 32 years and this is the first one that requires removal of the racks for cleaning, and they are not easy to clean -- they are too large for most kitchen sinks and I have had to resort to cleaning them in the bathtub, which is back-breaking. Is there an easier way to clean them?

Great Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the large windows in the doors. You can see the food cooking better and easier to monitor the progress. The blue porcelain interior is very pretty and I like the fact that the racks can stay in while cleaning. The lights in the oven are awesome. The Convection Roast makes beef and pork roast tender and juicy.

After purchasing this item we have seen the repair man more than we have been able to cook in it. We are told by the warranty dept. that we need to go thru the year of repairs before they can then replace it. So here is to a year of problems

Very disappointed in this purchase. After using the self cleaning feature, the over wouldn'd heat up. Turns out this is a regular problem. It's mounted on an inside wall but when the temperature outside dips down, the oven beeps constantly--some sensor somewhere I'm guessing, but no one has been able to help. Would not purchase another electrolux.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome oven!!

But I have to say I am extremely happy that we did this. Electrolux double oven is amazing. It cooks very evenly and all of my baking turns out great!

can't get it fixed correctly

Have had this oven for about 1 1/2 years. Have had the convection fan and exhaust fan replaced three times! It still makes such a loud noise when running. The top oven only. the bottom is quiet but have not used it often or self clean option. Luckily had the extended warranty. But it still is making loud noise so not sure what to try next. Just don't buy it. Not worth the trouble especially since it is hard to pull out of the cabinet and return it every time to work on it. Takes two workers who pulled off the cabinet facing since it has been in and out so many times!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
