Awful - Lasted only 2 years

Have had this for about two years. Started making some noise a little bit ago, but figured ok. Turns out the motor no longer works. Again, only 2 years. Piece of junk.

Bearings don't last

Getting ready to say goodbye to the second one of these washers to have a bearing fail on me. The first one lasted 1 1/2 years, this one 3 1/2 years. I am very disappointed in the durability of these machines.

Huge waste of money!

Would not recommend these to anyone. They are very nice looking but looks can be deceiving. Worked good for a short time. Front loaders may save you water but won’t save you money in repairs or maintenance.

GE Quality is just not there

I read about my experience over and over, I've owned this unit for 5 years for a vacation home. Washer sounds like a freight train during the spin cycle. The repair depart told me that it is not worth fixing due to bearing failure and possible drum damage. Very Sad, I have a housefull of GE Cafe product-same expereince. All the peices are beginning to fail at this age. no more GE for me.

Bearing went out in 3 years

Machine is awesome with some great features. issue is that the rear bearing went out in less than 3 years and destroyed the leveling ring which put grease everywhere in the unit and could not be cleaned. Price of new unit was less than to fix this one. If i didnt have the matching dryer, i would have bought a Maytag this round

Generally a poor product with no consideration given to post sale maintenance, where with some forethought it could be so easy.

Bad washer!!!!

Bought this washer just 4 years ago and it never really worked as expected. While in warranty GE technician replaced one of the shocks because a leak damaged it. I did not even ask why there was a leak in the first place! My big mistake as the leak was never fixed and the shocks went out again causing banging while spinning. When out of warranty i called the service in they discovered the entire bottom is rusted. And after replacing the shocks now the washer control board seems to have issues. More service calls..... Companion dryer did not last either.

Bearing and seal will fail

The bearing and seal fails and mess up the interior parts, spider, bearings and front balancer and front tub, they only give a one year warranty and seals fails after a year, they do not want to give you Any discount on the parts and do not warranty the washer machine.
