No Longer Shrinking Clothes

I bought this dryer to replace my 21 year old unit that had a knack for shrinking things. I bought it along with the matching washer so that I could take advantage of the common cycles and the high speed spin rate of the washer, which wrings more water from the clothes making the dryer perform better.
The built-in pedestal puts these appliances at exactly the right height, and they are included with the units at no additional cost. The dry cycle features easy to use and understand, and the ability to customize the cycle is excellent. On my old dryer I always just used timed dry as the other cycles just didn't seem to work well. So far every cycle I have used on this dryer has done exactly what it was supposed to do.
So far so good... Once I got these units installed we had a lot of laundry to get done so I've ran several loads through these units. The thing I noticed right away was that the clothes come out of the dryer only slightly warm instead of too hot to handle like my old dryer. That one thing will mean much less shrinkage. The other thing I noticed is that wrinkles are pretty much non-existent using this dryer, even for clothes that tend to wrinkle.
I purposely left a load of clothes in the dryer to let them "wrinkle up", just so I could test the steam and fluff functions. They worked flawlessly.
I had my old washer and dryer pair for 21 years without a single service call. I am hoping to get the same life out of these units. Only time will tell.

Metallic Carbon Robocop closes lost item Stargate

When my 13 year old washer failed to spin out completely and could not be repaired, I replaced the matching washer and dryer with these top of the line GE units in beautiful metallic carbon. Though this dryer has a door opening as large as a Stargate, you will no longer lose socks and underwear to the sheet nebulae thanks to the innovative detangle setting which alternates direction while drying, shaking loose the stray items known to bond with sheets and disappear forever. The extra tumble setting ensures wrinkles fail to set while you fold these larger items. This Robocop dryer takes down the electric company when it times out as soon as clothes are dry despite the indicated expected timing created by owner programming. The built in "right height" pedestal and front facade placement of the control panel makes programming easily accessible and at your command. For some unknown reason the outer plastic door window permanently stained with teardrop markings though no liquids were accessible nearby (steam setting leakage around the seal?) but my GE tech immediately replaced the entire door under warranty without question. Great service, GE.

Wow! This dryer can really get cloths dry fast and we love that it can sense the dampness inside the cylinder and keep going if necessary.

FINALLY a dryer that does everything!

We have had issues for years finding a dryer that could do everything we need. My husband works in sports and needs to wash/dry his tennis shoes A LOT. This dryer is PERFECT! There's a removable rack that sits in the drum, place your shoes on it and turn the dryer on and it dries them without tumbling them! The usual load takes about 35 minutes to dry. My last dryer required 2 cycles - about 2 1/2 hours. Love the height, as well. No bending over and digging through the dryer, but yet can still fold on top!

Bought last year and this unit has been awesome. All the options featured on this dryer are more than enough for any job and garment needed to be dried. Additionally, not having to buy a separate pedestal is nice too.

Tancle free drying

With over 50 years experience as a homemaker and a grown family, I finally have a dryer that can produce a finished load of sheets and pillow cases that come out practically wrinkle free, steam fresh and untangled. GE where have you been all my life.

I bought the dryer about 3 months ago and cannot find anything negative to say about its performance. The capacity is amazing, and has cut down on the loads per week we have to do. The sanitize and steam option are awesome too! Worth the money!
