Bearing Gone -Lasted 7 years

The shaking got really bad over the last year until we could not stand it any more. I'm told load washers have this problems. It was great until this happen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was great for a SHORT time

We had this washer for under 5 years at first a great appliance and cleaned very well and it gradually started getting extremely load called my service guy and said the drum bearing went out at it was very expensive to replace. Disappointed in the longevity that it lasted :(

Washer suddenly stopped while working...

I bought this washer in 2016. Last week , it was washing some clothes and suddenly stopped working. The lights on panel were off, it was impossible to start the machine again and he front door was stucked with clothes inside. Technician said it was the electric board which is inside , that could be replaced but with no garantee the door would open or close again.....I won't buy a GE washer.

The washer works well and has a good size basket. Looks like I'm going to be able to do all the clothes in one load.

Failure is not an option!

After growing up with the GE brand for over 20 years I'm struggling to understand why such a quality product would fail after 7 years. After filing a claim with our homeowner's warranty company ,our claim was denied because their Repair company's claim that the rear bearing failed due to overloading which was never the case. If this is a common problem then why does GE not honor their workmanship and customer's investment and repair the appliance? It costs less to replace the washer than it is to repair it.
