i love this lens takes great wide photos, i use it in landscape and large groups.i shoot concerts and love how i can get the whole group in the picture.the only thing i dont like about this lens is the lens cap does fall off easily.i went to watkins glen and it fell off in to the abyss.also dont like that you cant put uv filter on front already have small scratch on lens.to sum up its a great lens take great photos and not to expensive.
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Superior build quality, Super-sharp images
Cons: cant put protective uv on it, lens cap bulky falls off lost it twice at a falls

This is the most used and fun to shoot with lens that I own. There were a lot of delays to get this on the market but it was worth the wait. I find all the images are sharp and the focus speed and build quality are fantastic. The only reason I gave the features a 4 out of 5 stars is because the lens cap and hood system are sort of clunky and the cap can easily fall off. I find myself not using the hood either because it shows in the photos. Other than that I have ZERO complaints about this lens.
Pros: sharp, well built
Cons: lens cap and hood

This lens offers a unique perspective and is priced fairly well for an L lens. Auto focus struggles a bit when using it on my R5 with EF to RF adapter.

This lens is Amazing. I had doubts before to buy this lens. Now i'm really very happy with it and surprised about what can I get. i took pictures of wild gooses flying over the Potomac river and the results were incredible. It worth the price.

We recently bought this lens for a trip to Hawaii and we found it takes great pictures. It allows us to take pictures which are a little different from what we usually produce. Previously we were limited by what we could get from our 16-35, the 8-15 is a welcome addition.

great lens, just got it today and haven't put it down for a second. I am still wondering how to shoot in the circular fisheye mode that is shown in the second sample image section, would really like to know--why i bought the lens!!
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Superior build quality, Super-sharp images

I had been trying to find the EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens for several months (apparently sold out everywhere. Eventually, I stumbled upon this one available through Canon's refurbished site. As far as I can tell, mine is in fine condition. I have been using it for about 5 weeks now and am beginning to understand a bit more about how to best use it. I use it on my R5 with the EF adapter and at 8mm it provides a full circle image. I have learned that you need to watch out that you don't include your own feet or shadow in the frame. I have noticed a blue fringe around the extreme edge of the photo and have also noticed some flare (even extending outside the circle) when the sun is at the outside edge of the lens. When working with the circular image, I crop to 1x1 in Lightroom with post-crop vignetting (changing the outer black area to white and shrinking the circle just enough to cover the blue fringe). If using Lightroom, make sure you don't enable lens profile correction as that will straighten the image and ruin the circle.
