Picture Printing Disappointing

Printer set up easily including the wireless operation. Text printing, and scanning are performed quickly and flawlessly. A bit disappointed as pictures come out substantially darker than portrayed on the screen. This replaced a Canon Pixma MX410 which we gave to our daughter.

Very disappointed

I am a casual user. Just need for occasional printing airline tickets, recipes and pics. Very fussy printer. Takes forever to print. Queue gets backed up easily. Hard to trouble shoot issues. Spent more time trying to get functional then actually printing. Im quite disappointed with this printer.

Poor experience

I've had the printer for a very brief time. The print quality became blurry. I tried head alignment maintenance but it only produced repeated paper jams as I attempt to complete the alignment.

This is the first wireless printer that we've owned. Setup was easy and it works great with both computers we have.

I needed a new Printer, Scanner, Fax, Copier to set up for my new Mac Air. Took me no more than 10 minutes and it works perfectly. I print from the laptop, iPhone and iPad. I own another brand wireless printer and spent hours unsuccessfully trying to set it up. So happy now.

Not Happy With It

The software is just ok. The printer itself prints very sharp. However, the printer's actual control pad leaves a lot to be desired. It is hard to read what the display says. It really needs a backlight. It is also difficult to navigate. I also don't like how scans are just saved as a sequential number. I want to be able to name the scan as I am saving it. I bought the MX472 as a replacement because of the price.

This is a very good all in one printer and except for the fax setup [I still am having problems with it ] the rest of the setup procedure was very simple. With the exception of the noise it makes when delivering paper to be printed this is well worth the money.

Quite the little machine for the money

Just bought the MX472 all-in one for home office use. Have run it about flat-out for a week scanning old docs before shredding. Overall, an amazing machine. Very good auto doc feeder that makes duplex scans a snap. It will scan about 150 pages, then slows WAY down, for what reason not known for sure. Shutting it off for a couple hours solves the problem-so maybe heat? There are threads out there that talk about this. So if you want to scan an office load quickly, you are probably going to have to part with some serious $ for a high end scanner. Print quality is excellent. Copy function is awesome-no computer needed. Have not faxed yet and do not want wireless so never set up. Instructions are written for an engineer- I gave up and just played with it until it did what I wanted it to. We have Canon cameras and they have always been great. Been having nothing but trouble with other brand printers, on advice from friends switched to Canon printers, and I all can say is we won't look back. Try one, and I bet you will be hooked too. Just don't run when the babies' asleep- they are a little loud! lol Enjoy!
