Printer is a very good value with good print quality. The price of replacement cartridges was very competitive as well. The only downside is the paper tray for finished copies.

Great Features I love the scanner options

I bought this printer and I have always had Hp Printers in the past. I was sort of intimidated to purchase this printer since it does have a lot of buttons on it and also I have never had a Cannon Printer. This printer has so many more features than other printers I have had in the past. I love this printer.

As a small business owner, I recently had to replace my Pixma MX330 that had served me well for the past 5 years. Time was of the essence so I purchased this upgraded version thru their Tech. Support.
The machine arrived 2 days later & the instructions were simple enough to follow. Set-up took some time but, since it was 5 years ago since I had done this, it still went smoothly. Called for support one time and the hold time was minimal; their help was efficient and knowledgeable.
Word of Caution / Wisdom: if you are replacing a similar product, take careful note as to your fax-line connections. This was my only real problem & it was more my error in that it somehow got disconnected on both ends & took some trial & error to find the correct port to locate & re-establish the fax line.
I anticipate another long tenure with this machine.
Bottom line: great value for the price and support was there and very helpful thru the minor issues I encountered.

MX472 vs MX410 eASY PHOTO PRINT

I had my Mx410 for three years loved it. Really like the Easy Photo print EX. I could slip right through all my many photo's click on them they would move to the bottom in whatever form I wanted. Hit print and here was my paper
for birthdays etc. Now my 410 stopped picking up paper
and I was told at a computer shop that something was broken in the gear department and that it would be less expensive to buy a new one. So I bought the new one.
The MX 472. I will simply say ok it prints but I like the old
easy program and 410 much better. Thank you, IBO

Please simplify installation

This is a very good printer that can be setup in less than 15 minutes. However, it can take hours and challenge your patience. The problem is poorly organized materials given with the printer. I found the Canon support site to be the most straightforward. Download the recommended drivers, use a temporary USB cable, and perform the manual setup for wireless mode.
Once setup, this is a LAN printer accessible from any computer or handheld device.

This is by far the best printer we have ever purchased. We upgraded from an older printer, so I'm probably easily impressed. Never the less this is a great product. Fast, professional, and sophisticated I enjoy using this printer. The pictures I've printed so far have turned out perfectly. This is the Canon MX472 printer. It could however use a better set of instructions in print that comes with it. It doesn't have much printed instruction, just online instruction. The call in help is out of this world. They are so helpful. Walked me through my troubles.
