[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this heater for about two weeks. I sleep in a Lazy Boy chair near a bay window due to age and health problems. The spot gets cold very quickly when the thermostat shuts the furnace down during evening hours. This heater does a great job in keeping me comfortable. I set it below half way on the thermostat and it warms the area quickly and shuts off. It cycles at a reasonable rate and does not wake me up when it cycles. I shut it off during the day as the furnace keeps the entire house comfortable. My daughter uses an identical heater in her studio. The price was excellent as was the customer service and shipping speed.

Best space heater I've ever used

Have owned this a long time. Have used it in my home office and even in my sailboat cabin when docked with shore power (heated the entire cabin with freezing temps outside. Very durable. Love it.

we bought this several years ago. When it finally gave up, we searched everywhere for another. Never before had such a great, dependable heater. I can't wait for this product to come out on the market this year!

Great heater!

Just recently purchased this at Target & I am very content. It was the last one so that was a sign! I was a little apprehensive being that my last heater was a piece of nothing. This heater isn't loud when circulating the warmth. My rooms warms up so fast! It's really a great investment. You can adjust the warmth as well. I like that even after about 15 minutes of the heater being off, my room remains warm. Great for these cold days. Just wish it had a remote! But that's just a minor issue.

The quartz has features I find advantageous, such as the two function switch for warmth or heat. Winter rarely comes in suddenly, rather in stages-right now in late October, warmth will suffice. Another feature, the dial thermostat offers the assurance that when desired temperature is reached, the unit automatically shuts down. It also rests flat and securely on plush carpet. Space prevents me from a full rave- sufficient to say I'm comfy and happy!

very noisy when in operation . is something wrong????? Or is this the way the unit works. The unit that I had before was not noisy.

I had this heater a few years back and loved the warmth it gave to my rooms.
I have tried other heaters but was never happy with results. Holmes was hard to find in my area so this year I came to the site and ordered two at great savings.

los angeles is having a cold winter, nights are bone chilling. my heater had died and a neighbor loaned his to me. it worked well, lots of temperature adjustments available, and he has been using the same one for years. i bought it last month, use it every night and some mornings and i am happy with it.
