I like the way Roomba works when it's doing smaller sections, not just wandering all over the house. It may or may not clean any better, but at least you know what's finished. Lighthouse mode is perfect. I use three of these to divide the downstairs into 4 logical sections. It's the reason I bought the 780 model and I'm glad I did.

We have used the two (2) VWLHs supplied with the 880 extensively throughout the house as both barriers (Virtual Wall) and as Lighthouses to guide Hazel. We have a large home with an open-concept LR and Kitchen, and the Lighthouse mode ensures that Hazel cleans the kitchen before moving on to the LR, hallway and DR. We intend to purchase a third unit to further improve this process of containment and guidance. We are perfectly happy with Hazel, and the guidance that the VWLHs provide to the efficiency of the cleaning process. We would highly recommend the purchase of these products.

It makes you feel great to hear and see 'someone' else do the hard work. A few extra lighthouses are required if your house is open concept. My Roomba works very well.
