Great features, great support. mediocre sound

I really enjoy this set. Setup was easy but getting the color right took some work. Samsung's remote support is great! A knowledge tech took control of set over the internet and made some changes. Sound however is still not great.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

3D Television is Awesome

This is my first 3D television and I only bought it after watching another owned in the family. The 3D experience is thrilling. Even the closed captions, if you use them, are separated from the movie giving it an up-front look. The 2D side of it is equally awesome with brilliant, rich colors and great definition. This is not the UHD model but it is dramatic. The only problem I found was that the out-of-box picture controls had too much contrast and brightness. There are several presets for picture control. Movie appeared to be the closest to my liking but it was still not what I wanted so I customized the settings which you can do. It works extremely well with the BD 3D Blu-Ray player which is purchased separately. The set comes with two pair of 3D glasses, each with two batteries. Extra glasses were purchased separately. Is there a downside? Yes, in that I can watch 3D for only a couple hours before going back to 2D because of eye strain but that two hours is awesome! The remote has an added feature of pointing at the screen and controlling by moving the remote, much as one might do on a computer with a mouse. There is a light generated by the remote to see where you point and the control is adjustable to suit your taste. This is also a Smart TV meaning it has Internet capability for web pages, Netflix and other programs.
Overall, I am very impressed with Samsung's TV line. The only services I am not yet familiar with are customer service and the amount of time before it needs to be repaired or replaced.

This TV rocks and the 3D movie I played was amazing! What a great experience my family had watching our first 3D movie at home.

My second Samsung HD TV. Pleased with quality. Good features overall. Smart TV is only okay. Disappointed with how TV interfaces with PC; low res.

AWESOME 3D TV

I have been waiting for 3 years to buy a 3D TV and I finally took a chance on this 50' Samsung-ITS AMAZING!!!!!!-The Tv comes with 2 pairs of 3D glasses and i bought 2 more pairs for the family.I also bought the 3D BlueRay player and a bunch of 3D movies.The 3D looks exactly like the 3D at the Theaters.I read that older movies don't always look as good in 3D so sometimes your taking a risk.Movies like "The Hobbit" and "The Amazing Spiderman" look stunning in 3D-Well worth the $$$$ in my opinion.Love it!!!!

Great Samsung product

I have Samsung products for years a 40" and a 22" plus other DVD players. I wanted a larger screen plus LED back light TV. I got the UN50H6400 AF cause of all the reviews saying what a GREAT PICTURE. Man they are right. Took it out of the carton and had it up and running in about 10 minutes. Fabulous picture. Connected right up to my Wi-Fi and Dish network, also in a few minutes was connected to my Samsung Blu-Ray DVD. My 40" and 22" by the way are still working great.
I just ordered a Samsung 3d Blu-Ray player so I haven't try 3d yet, but I'm sure it will be GREAT. I am a retired engineer so I'm familiar with electronics. I chose this 3d model over others model cause a 3d the screen seems to give a sharper picture. The picture on this TV is Vibrant, Brilliant and Beautiful color. Wife and I are extremely happy with this TV. Well what can I say, it's a SAMSUNG. I use this TV with my BOSE surround sound system, man what a great combination. Looks and sound just like the movies.

I love this TV. It interchanges between satellite and internet apps so easily. I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend the Samsung TV to everyone. Also it is smaller in size than my 46" was.
