This player is very simple to setup. I have had no problems at all so far. Great Picture quality! I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the control buttons on top of the unit. You cannot see them, due to them being the same color as the unit and being on top of the unit. But, you can do everything with the remote control. It has all the app you need, including Amazon video. Overall, great Bluray player.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

This player works well but it cannot be synched with the Samsung TV remote we have to allow us to use the remote as a universal device. Every time I try to add the player to the TV source list it knocks off the TV or the cable set top box or both from the source list, forcing me to go back and re install them. Furthermore when I search the BR player model number on the TV look up menu to add it to the source list the model number is not included on the list. Very frustrating to say the least.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, see above re:tv remote difficulties

Distortion/Noise Around Moving Objects in Foreground

Whether streaming or watching blu ray discs this player, along with the F5900 display an odd video flaw around many moving objects. As the dominant image in the scene moves, it picks up artifacts from the image behind it creating sort of a halo effect around all the edges of the image [main] in the foreground. This distortion or noise can only be cleared up by tweaking a Samsung TV's "Auto Motion Plus" in CUSTOM settings to BLUR: 9 and JUDDER: 4. This does the job but takes away a bit of the sharpness of the overall image quality. One does not want to make such fine tune adjustments to "fix" an overall technical flaw in the signal processing of the H5900, as well as the F5900.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations, too much tv tweaking
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with the layout and design of the 3d bluray. Starts up fast, plays great image, and is a very affordable price. I actually upgraded to this instead of getting a regular bluray, just because of the display.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

When first purchased the 3D feature was great. Seemed to want to update every time it was turned on. 1 month after the warranty was over it went out & was unable to use it for anything other than regular DVDs. The registration # was wrong when I registered it, so would not update online. Finally purchased a different DVD player.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
