Self-Updating Makes It Easy to Use

As long as it's connected to the internet, this Blu-ray player auto-downloads updates when they are available, making it easy to play newer formats as new movies come out. I like getting the latest movie trailers available from the web.
I also have an Amazon Prime account and LOVE that I am able to view my choice of movies through the Amazon app. I currently do not use NETFLIX or HULU because I have DirectTV, which serves all of our needs. That soon will change, however, and I will look forward to using the other services when DirectTV is cancelled.
This is the third Samsung Blu-ray we've owned, and my first was gifted to a friend, so it's still going strong. With our Smart TV sets, this pairs perfectly
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight

I really have not use 3D feature so I can't really rate that part of it. Everything OK.

dumb to smart

I now have a few features of a "smart" tv when all I wanted was a dvd player. Sleek design easy to use even for a novice.
Pros: Inexpensive, does the job and more
Cons: too early to tell

NOT for streaming video!!

The reason we bought this item was to stream Netflix. It is impossible to keep a connection to the wifi to watch an entire episode of anything. No other devices in the house have issues with the wifi connection. DO NOT BUY THIS if you want to stream video like Netflix.
