only problem i have had
on October 2, 2014
Posted by: AKguy82
The only real problem i have had with this phone is that beacause of its curve it has less surface area to stay on a unlevel surface. Its always falling off the side of my couch. Beside that i love it. So far it has survived a 5 day hike in, sheep hunt, a 1 week moose hunt, and so far a month of construction work while in my back pocket (it is more comfortable than any other phone i have had. And this is the biggest phone i have had). One thing i have read that people have been saying is hard to use is the back button. I have found that it works great for listening to music at work, i can change the volume without taking the phone out of my pocket. And my favorite thing is showing a iPhone 6 owner how a phone is supposed to flex.

*This phone is simply amazing!!

I would first like to start by saying that I am an avid Apple user. I have had a 3GS in the past and recently a 4S IPhone. I really enjoyed both of them. It seems that new emails come in so much quicker than on the Android phones (all of them regardless of make or model). And the wifi seems to pick up slighter better as well on iPhones vs Android products. But ios is not without issues. With that said, I was just sick of the 3.5" 4S screen size and how locked down the iPhone was from accessing and installing anything on it unless you had it jail broken. Upon my search for a replacement cell phone I stumbled across the LG G Flex. OMG!! How impressive it is to see a 6" 720p Curved OLED HD screen. impressive! So I used it for a while in the store and went through its features. The G Flex has a built in Remote Control. It will run your Comcast Box, Blu Ray player, HDTV and other equipment. Very slick! The built in video player has a powerful pinch to zoom feature. The Call quality is crystal clear. As good as my iPhone 4S. The internet surfing speed is crazy fast over LTE. Coming from the 4S HSPA speed the LTE is very noticeable. But any phone with LTE will be like this. The battery life is really good.. Double that of my iPhone 4S. The 6" screen makes everything you do so much easier on your eyes. The Curved OLED screen fits in my front pocket that it belonged there. The Curve is no gimmick. When you hold the phone up to your ear it also feels like it belongs there. The only drawback was the lack of an external SD Card slot. It would have made placing music, videos, apps onto the phone a lot easier. It seems like DropBox and similar apps is the rage now. Regardless, I'm sure 32GB of internal storage will be plenty for most users. I downloaded the Quadrant benchmark app to test it's gaming abilities. The G Flex has one of the highest scores to date. The Quad Core Snapdragon processor is Fast. The G Flex has 2GB of operating ram. This is plenty, considering my iPhone 4S only comes with 512MB of ram. I am very happy with this phone. It has the latest technology. When people see the Curved Screen they are amazed. It is quite the conversation piece. So far, no issues, good solid performance. Again, I am coming from an iPhone 4S and IMO this phone blows it away. You will have no regrets purchasing this phone.
Pros: battery life all day long, curved 6" 720p oled screen, great for gaming, very fast snapdragon processor, powerful video player, built in remote control, normal movie vivid screen options, slick self healing back, good audio quality, the video camera is 1080p
Cons: android fetches new emails slower than ios, no external sd card slot, 32gb size restriction

The G Flex is Amazing

What can I say other than this is an amazing phone. The curve design is incredible and makes gaming, texting and watching movies more enjoyable. I am constantly needing to do something on my phone because it is so nice to play with.
The curve is by no means a gimmick. It is well crafted to be comfortable for your hands, so reviewers need to stop saying it is a gimmick. I was about to pick up the Note 3, but I am very glad that I did not. The G Flex is wonderful!
Pros: size, curve, features
Cons: no sd card slot

iPhone No More

I have to say that I am extremely happy with the LG Flex. I have used it for going on a month now, and still can't put it down. I have heard complaints about the size being too big to put in a pocket, but I don't get it. I am by no means a large person (5'7" 160), and the phone easily fits in my front pocket? The screen is HUGE compared to my old iPhone 5! Watching Netflix, surfing the Internet, or just typing a text message is so much easier.. Text is crisp and sharp, and with the increased screen size there is no squinting required!
The interface on the LG Flex is very user friendly, even when compared to the simplistic Apple iOS7. Throw in the fact that you still have the ever so customizable features of Android and you have a clear winner!
If I had a complaint (and to be clear, I don't), it would be the lack of an SD card slot. No biggie since I am nowhere near using the 32GB of internal memory (even with a ton of music downloaded in Google Music). Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about the G Flex.
Lastly, the battery. I am used to having to charge my iPhone 5 halfway through the day because the battery dies out quickly. With the LG Flex I use the phone all day long, and STILL have around 40% of the battery left when I turn in for the night. Again, clear winner!
Check this phone out if you are in the market for an awesome phone! You won't be disappointed!
Pros: battery, screen, ease of use, customize easily, interface
Cons: hype of the iphone

Greatest Phone ever!

I have had this almost 9 months. I LOVE IT! Already plan on getting the phone again when its time. I thought the fact that it doesn't have an SD card slot would be a problem but its not at all! I currently have over 1000 photos and videos and still plenty of room for more. I have also downloaded 20+ apps and have plenty of room for more. Battery life is amazing. Pictures look like they are from a digital camera. I think the colors are very bright and also look spectacular. Taking a screenshot can sometimes be tricky using the buttons on the back but you get used to it...there is an alternative way of just pressing and holding the screen. I have been a diehard Samsung user and was sceptical to start but I am extremely happy I gave LG a shot! As long as this phone is available I will keep using it.

Great high end phone, not for your average joe tho

First thing you notice is the curve and how big it is, a phablet. The flex is pretty neat but nothing to write home about, the screen is a great size and fits well in big hands. 720p is the best screen they could get and believe me you dont really notice anything bad about it, its bright, vivid, and looks great. Extremely fast phone, this thing flies, great amount of storage, 24gigs after everything is said n done. GREAT battery life. Overall great phone only dislike is lack of sd slot and still no kitkat update but other then that no big deal. Must have high end phone for the above average joe.
Pros: big screen, flexible, great battery life, great sound, powerful and fast
Cons: lack of sd slot, slow software updates

What a experience

The lg flex is great just got it and it is incredible. It is lighting fast and the design is great for people that talk and txt. I'm still figuring out all what the phone has to offer, but what i have seen so fare is great. I enjoy a phone that has a great battery. The only down size is no SD card slot and hopefully that's all, but over all a great phone compare to some off my old phone like Samsung and HTC phones.
Pros: battery life
Cons: no sd slot

-Display is great.
-In built remote control makes it easy to operate household electronics. Better that Samsung Galaxy family.
-"knock" screen to wake up the phone from sleep mode.
This phone is actually packed with a lot of fun features.
It is a must phone.
I like the battery life.
Cons: too expensive
