Well-built, more than adequate for most, one hang-up

This food processor is heavy-duty, well-built and more than large enough for most jobs. It's powerful and cuts through anything I throw at it.
My one complaint has to do with the design of the locking lid. The size of the hole that allows you to put something in while running is just a bit too small for most whole potatoes. It's a safety feature I realize, but it could have been a bit bigger.
The top itself is made out of a plastic that has cracked easily. I know this because when handling the top it is very easy for the input inserts to fall out; there is no locking mechanism for them.
Clean up can be a pain, the underside of the top had a few nooks and crannies that are too small to put a spatula into; these gum up quickly and can result in lost material when using the processor in a mixing application.
Finally, the locking top seal is *not* water-tight by any means. If you attempt to use the processor to blend something that has liquid in it (making mousse or pureeing coconut and water to make coconut milk come to mind) a large mess can result.
I am overall happy with this product and the price I paid for it. It far exceeds the quality of other food processors I have owned. It does seem to fall a bit short of the excellence I am used to with other KitchenAid products that I own, such as their stand mixers.
Pros: Convenient Features, Performance, easy to use
Cons: Not water tight, Hard to Clean

This food processor has surprised me with its capabilities and its features. I really haven't had much chance to use it yet, but it has exceeded my expectations every time already. I'm lucky to have it.
I have been looking for a new food processor for quite a while now & when I saw the demo on this Kitchen Aid one I knew this was the one for me. I absolutely love the variable thickness slicer..that's what sold me on it. A competitor has one that you can change the thickness of the slices but you have to take the blade off & change it. Having the thickness option on the front of the processor makes it SO easy. And of course, Kitchen Aid products are the best!! Thank you Kitchen Aid!

It's very nice machine. It runs quietly. It's amazing that you can cut zucchini, cucumber very thin. I like the large tube with addition to the other two choices of the tube sides. You can fit a cucumber or zucchini vertically through a small tube or you lay a potato though the large tube. It's worth the money.

Good, solid, product, very happy I received it as a Christmas gift. Almost 5 stars but it doesn't handle as lg a batch of bread dough as well as expected. I wish the blade storage box had a latch, and when one of the rubber feet stuck to the shelf, it came out. No big deal but annoying.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: no starter recipe book, instructions could have been simpler
