Lots of storage, so far great drive

I love how much storage this drive has. I am a scrapbooker and needed lots of storage for my pics, pages and digital kits. I plugged this in and installed the software and in no time I had my drive backed up. It does not delete files if I delete them but other than that if I add something it will do an auto backup after the computer stays idle. I have to make sure to not close the program but it starts automatically when the computer starts. So far I have had to problems. Run quiet and not hot, very pleased. I did notice on one review that it did not come with a 3.0 cable but it does come with it so no worries. You are up and running in no time.

Perfect for Home Office

This simple system works without thought or interaction by me after it is installed and set-up. Currently I allow Windows 7 backups automatically to the drive as well as using simple save for countinuous backup of my working files. Thus everything important to my home office is backed up all the time without me even thinking about it using a combination of the Windows 7 and Simple Save software. The initial set up time was about 5 minutes. I am intermediate in the computer savy category and a newby in the Window 7 operating system, so your not reading a review by an IT person.

The best by far of 5 back-up drives tested

In the past I've used two 500GB HP SimpleSave back-up drives with 100+% satisfaction. I've also purchased them as gifts for family members. I then needed a larger, 1TB back-up drive but HP didn't make a USB powered model any larger that 500GB. So I tried 5 other brands of 750GB-1TB that were USB powered. They were all very, very disappointing compared to my excellent past experience with the 500GB HP USB powered SimpleSaves. So, I compromised and purchased the 1TB HP SimpleSave that is 110 volt wall outlet powered. It lacks one feature that the 500GB unites have, i.e., it does not display the dynamic updating screen. So, instead of being 100+% satisfied, I'm only 100% satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The only fault in dizz HDD is that the size iz big of the HDD....othrzz r Perfect....HP Make the size Small n Keep the price same...
