Explore on My Own filing

Cons-
After completing each portion of an "explore on my own" it would take you back to the beginning rather that to the point where you entered that section. I found, in general the 2011 version more cumbersome to use than older versions. The ability to toggle back and from fromt he form view and the "interface" doesn't seem to work as nicely as it used to - used to be able to go to a form for a particular field then right back to the interview.

Not so simple

Fairly smooth sailing until you enter the area of 1099 income reporting which was complicated by different catagories which could be used for the same income, such as Rent & Royalties being the same as 1099 Misc. It was simpler the year before without all the questions about purchase date and sale date...which doesn't apply to Royalties. And then when you enter the info it won't let you out of the area. I finally had to submit it with three errors on the form and take my chances. It kept telling me I needed to upgrade to Premier to fix it make it easier. ???

slow launching

I having been using Turbo Tax for many years. This year I decided to try H R Block in addition to Turbo Tax to compare the products. Basically, I found the 2 products comparable, except that Turbo Tax is incredibly slow launching and changing back and forth from forms to step by step.
H R Block responds instantly. I'm sure you can improve on that., as that has always been an issue with Turbo Tax.

Because of this, and that H R Block is less expensive, I would have used H R Block except that they had an internal error that did not allow me to import my financial data.
It may be beneficial to you get the software to run more efficiently.

Turbo Tax is great. Makes doing your taxex so easy and helps take the fear out of filing your taxes. Guides you right thru and explains everything as you go along. I think Turbo tax is the greatest.

A very good experience

Well i would highly reccomend this product to my friends as it makes doing taxes very simple. I liked how it would search for deductions and add them as you go. I also like the itemized deductions as well as the fast service.
