Got it free, but buggy

Even in the download version, Form 8938 did not allow for multiple accounts. The permanent attempts for upsell get annoying. Otherwise it works fine (but as it is a glorified spreadsheet that's the least one could expect).
As last year, there was one day when one could download the product for free (dealnews.com)

Easy to Do

First time it was easy to do my return. Turbo Tax step by step was great. I have used other programs, they were a pain. On theirs I would miss something or had to look for a place were it belonged

Basic is enough for me

TurboTax "Basic" has all I need for a basic retirees return with a pension, social security and an IRA. Easy, no problem installation. Updates are a cinch. The way the system guides you through the process works fine.

The TurboTax Basic pack is worthless. You end up having to pay another 40 bucks to process your state return AND another 20 bucks to file it electronically. I've used TurboTax Deluxe since I was in high school. Normally its been a decent service, but this year I wanted to try saving some money. I didn't end up saving any money. DON'T get this product unless you want to get part way through your return and be required to pay more to make it work like it should in the first place. I know I WON'T be using their products in the future.
