Better than flying solo

Overall, I think this product is worth it. It's a low-cost and simple tool to use to prepare your tax returns. I'm in the special situation of being in a same-s*x marriage in California (which is a community property/income state) so my returns are pretty complicated. Also apparently this review form flags the s-e-x word as inappropriate. So sorry to offend. /end sarcasm. It requires filing singly with income modifications and then also filing a mock federal return to complete the state tax return. Those instructions on the program were great but I still had to do my own calculations regarding each partner's portion of income/tax burden/etc. That was kind of the point of me buying the software. The only other gripe I have is that I had flagged an item to go back to and fill in once I located the right form, but I forgot about it (my bad) and transmitted the return without adding it in! I guess I thought that flagging an item for later review would prevent me from transmitting the return until that was cleared. So now, as my stupidity fee, I have to wait til the return is accepted and then file an amendment to it via the old school pen-paper way. Overall, I'd use it again but with those caveats. They did get me a fat return, so I guess I can't complain too much. :)

Fix deduction worksheets!

Worksheets are hard to access after intial creation. To go to forms option to access worksheets and them return to Step-by-Step is cumbersome and time consuming. Should be able to go to worksheets directly from Step-by-Step.
