Really frustrated

This year Turbo Tax was incredibly frustrating and difficult to use. We have always used TurboTax and had a good experience, but after this year, we may not ever use TurboTax again. It missed credits that it shouldn't have because they were "not common." For instance, we bought our home in 2008 and took the $7500 tax free loan from the govt, but have to pay it back each year ($500). We got all the way through our return this year and didn't get asked about this issue. Thankfully we remembered before we filed and redid the return. Also, I apparently checked some box and at the end kept getting prompts to fill out information about the sell of our home. We did not sell our home and I had to start a whole new return to get rid of that prompt. Also, the program this year was very confusing with the standard and itemized deductions. I changed my selection probably 10 times before making a decision. I had to go back to my 2010 return to figure out how to complete this return. The explanations and prompts this year were TERRIBLE!!!!!

This product is wonderful. For many years I have had
other people prepare my taxes, I feel more confident now than when they did it.

Easier than ever

Really enjoyed the option of importing w-2's and 1098 and 9's. The longer you use Turbo Tax the more you appreciate having your previous years data stored for inclusion and comparison. Even though my state has on-line filing and I don't use Turbo Tax to do them. My federal is so simple that I get to what I need to do my state faster. Last year my state refund was in my account in three business days and my federal in eight. Try it, you'll never go back.
