2011 TurboTax

Our BIG question.
Going through all the preparation requirements; including, of course incomes, but then all the posible deductions. Colecting the data for deductions such as medical, donations, etc. But all for naught! We have no income other than social secuirity and a couple of small pensions. Spending a couple of weeks gathering all this data and then in the end, having forms to file which really say no more the 0,0,0,0.
Seems like a big waste of time, paper, communications and whatever.
Our big question! Do we need to file income taxes?

I found entering my stock data confusing. My brokerage statement did not have a "box 6", and I was asked if it was checked. My statement did not have a "cost basis" column for my option trades, and I can't imagine the IRS wanting anything more than when I bought and sold securities and what I paid/received for them. In my opinion, Turbo Tax needs a major overhaul before next year in that area.
The second thing that was strange was that after all the reviews and no errors on my return, the instructions said that in one more click and I would have filed my taxes. But, then a screen came up asking for zip code for an employers on a W-2 (we had no W-2s), the state they were from, and wouldn't let me me send the file. I started back at the beginning and was able to transmit it.
This is the first year that I have had trouble with your product -- hope it will be the last.

This was the easiest TurboTax EVER - and I've used the product for 5+ years. The process was less cluttered and took less time. Great job!
