I have used TurboTax for several years and have been quite a loyal.user. I have condensed down to the more basic versions, since my finances are simple. It works well but the advertisement and push for upgrades are annoying. If I wanted a more powerful product, I would have purchased one.

I have been using this software for years now. Every year it gets more expensive because of all the hidden charges for e-filing. Next year I think I will try a different software. It just cost me 29.95 to use Illinois tax software and e-file to the state. Last year I e-filed myself to Illinois for $0. You would get more people to stay with your software year after year, if you didn't try to drain their pocket dry from filing expenses.

I got the CD in the mail was a little skeptical that it was actually free!! Low and behold it was free!! And its accurate too!!

On one return I received an estimate on when to expect the direct deposit. On another return I did not get an estimate of the deposit date. Why the difference.

I haven't had to do my taxes myself in years. Due to a Divorce, I was forced to do it myself. I dreaded it because we sold a house, split a 401k, and I had to take money out of an IRA several occasions. Turbo Tax guided me through it and I am thrilled!
