Great Fed, State needs a form

Schedule ICR on the Illinois return deals with--among other things--a real estate tax credit that should be an automated computation as part of the overall TurboTax- State software. The information to compute this credit is available from the Fed return and s/b an automatic computation. I would have missed the credit except that I read each line on the Illinois return--which specified this form--and then I manually found this schedule in the list of supplementary schedules available to be chosen by the taxpayer. I know I missed this last year, so now I'll need to file an amended return because the credit is worth several hundred bucks.

Too many ads

Been using Turbotax for many years. It's getting really bad with your pushing the state return and all the other extra cost services. Plus it does lengthy updates when you start, then does them again just before e-filing. You need to streamline the process by minimizing updates, and stop all the SELLING throughout the process!!! Very tiresome! I may try some other product next year.
