Software great, phone support poor

Attempted to use phone support to deal with two separate accounts at the same broker - his and hers. After an hour, hung up with someone who had never apparently used the program for real. Figured out the solution on my own (making the software much better than the "help".

Can't get out of the box

Stopped and started my return several times and had to start back at the first page and review every completed section over and over.
Even this section is bunk...my Nickname is already taken? It's a joke right? You have my name and address. What idiot dreams this stuff up??
I probably won't use Turbo next year!

I became very frustruated wih Turbo Tax when I attempted to e-file. TT kept showing an error and would not let me file. The tax ID for by investment company In Box 8, Schedule B was required. It was not on the 1099, I called my broker, and solicited help from your help center (NO HELP) and went to the community and several people responded but I could not get the problem resolved. Why was the information needed in Box 8 not downloaded when the rest of the information that was loaded from American Enterprise Investments I spent nearly a day on this and finally mailed in my taxes. Schedule B was not a required part of return. I have always had good luck with TT, but will try someone else next year.

turbo tax help

I have been using turbo tax for several years and had no problems. this year i had an issue when trying to efile. i contacted their chat facility and got virtually nowhere with the first agent i chatted with. It was obvious he needed more training on the program and in fact, ended our chat session prematurely. However, the next agent I got immediately saw the problem, suggest a resolution, which worked, and I was on my way.

Fed good as always state not so

After filing my fed 1040 this year ( been using for more than 8 years ) This is the first year that I used the State of Illinois filing , normally I would use the state's site for free and I still might have to . I keep getting a rejected status using Turbo Tax , Can't see anything wrong and the reject explanation is not very clear. Not worth the $40 bucks charged . Will still buy Fed only next year .
