Could not get through the fianl checks prior to e file. The program imported forms (2555) from several years ago and I had to delete the form in order to complete the e file. This is an obvious software/program issue that needs to be resolved.

Great software; easy to use; quick refund

Depending upon the complexity of your financial situation and your general understanding of tax-related issues, TurboTax software can greatly simplify your tax-filing process. Regardless of which edition you use (I used Basic this year, have used Deluxe in prior years), the software covers all the bases and walks you through each part step-by-step. Great software and relatively easy to use.

Unable to efile

K-1s from publicly traded partnerships are very difficult to be accepted by Turbo Tax. The program requires information, such as foreign transactions, that an ordinary investor does not know. An ordinary investor will normally have flow-thru amounts so small that the taxable income is not affected. But failure to provide the unknown information generates errors that prevent the return from email advantages. I have three K-1s that do not affect my taxable income, but they prevent me from emailing my return. I am also having problems submitting this review, because the nicknames selected have already been taken

Best Tax Software

I have been using TurboTax since 1993 and I wouldn't use anything else. It is easy to work with and fun to do. I plan to use it for the next 20 years also if I live that long!!

Basic version handles most everything well, even rental property (sinlge unit) for my first time this year. But, you'll need to read a bunch of IRS forms to be able to porovide the correct entries on rental property, mildly complicated donations, and investing. This may be like this so you'll buy the more expensive products, and I might try that next year.
The entries required for some things were just not intuitive, and there was nothing in the help about them at all. I figured it out, but it could have been easier.
