This is by far the easiest way to deal with the fact that Congress continues to make this the most unpleasant of tasks. But then, many are lawyers or accountants by trade and they want to keep their respective industries humming with high fees to us regular folk who, for the life of us, would waste weeks of our precious lives figuring out their inane tax code.

Turbo Tax program

This year before I did my taxes with Turbo, I did it the old way. If I mailed that in I would of got back 1/4 of the amount, I'm getting back fromTurbo. Thanks again guys..

Beats Tax Cut

Without knowing whether your charitable deductions will count you have to enter all info including the addresses of each charity only to find out the standard deduction overrides them. Needs a minimum amount that you can add up off screen to tell you if it is in your best interest to go through the effort of listing all the charities.

I like that the last 5 years of TurboTax had similar navigation. was very easy to use software each year without learning any new steps.
this year, major changes required me to study the application. prefer to study my tax situation, not the software.

I had to re-input all of the personal info and bank info despite having a previopus years info on the computer that i was using. Why can't the program find the information and import it.

Every time the program would be updated, it said "Now we will start TurboTax", or words to that effect. But the program did NOT restart; I had to start it again.
