Getting more difficult

The easy guide does walk you through the return but it does not show you the forms as you go through. I've used TT for years and have always thought showing the form would be helpful. I know you can go to "forms" but reverting back and forth is difficult.
The print forms option for e-filers to review occurs after you sign the form. Seems backwards to me.

The taxable amount of my social security income varies with the amount of my other income. I don't understand how that is calculated. If it was in Help, I could not find it.

Form K needs work

I had a small investment with a limited partnership and got a form K. Near the end of the entries for the form K:
(1) there were several sub items under J, T etc, requiring addition of identical broad categories for entries.
(2) TurboTax noted that if income from more than one foreign country was received, separate Form K's were required. That screen had no way to enter additional schedules. A separate Form K could only be entered by duplicating nearly all of the present one, which makes no sense. As most was from Canada and less than $10 from Mexico, I just added the 2 or 3 items together. But I was truly puzzled over how to handle the Form K items. I'd say they need more development work.

I have used Turbotax for many years. I does get easy to us each year. for the most part. I have a simple return, and have only had a compercated return some 4 years ago. Turbo Tax did take care of this with out too much trouble.

Very Easy for Beginners

It literally took me about 30-45 minutes to do my 1040EZ. Granted, I don't have much extra so I'm sure it would take a professional about the same amount of time but I paid less with Turbo Tax. I'm not sure why it costs extra to file state taxes...as opposed to increasing the initial purchase price of the software.
