Completing taxes with Turbo Tax is simple and straight forward. You have the option to more or less jump straight into the different areas if comfortable or let the program guide you.

Net framework 4 was a failure

I started TT about 2 weeks ago, then saved it. Today when I went back to it, nothing worked due to an issue with .net Framework 4 issues. It took me over two hrs and 3 reboots of my computer to get back into my saved file. Then my system would not allow for an auto update of the filing software, so I had to download it from a guru's site. I am not sure that I will go thru with this next year, I may just do them longhand.

technical malfunctions

Techincal issues this year with TT. Same computer ran fine with TT2010, but shuts down continuously with TT2011 while doing taxes. This added 2 hours to my federal taxes and much anxiety. After 8 years of using TT I will be obtaining a CPA from now on and letting them do my taxes. Computer runs fantastic with no issues as long as TT2011 basic is not running. ALL TT UPDATES AND WINDOWS UPDATES HAVE BEEN PERFORMED. RUNNING WIN XP PRO.

Great... But

Everything worked again this year except this small issue. Virginia's zip code issue was to have been fixed in January but I still had an issue. After several "update" attempts I was still blocked from e-fileing my return because of a Virginia zip code. This was the first issue with any TurboTax return since I started using the software. I can't remember how long that has been but it has been a LONG time.
