This is my 5th filing with turbo tax.Took 4 hrs. but finally got it. Only comment is I wish you would give the choice to take std. deductions, rather than research all itemised, only to find out you should take the std.deductions, especially if you know this from last year's filing and things haven't changed much.Otherwise, a great product. Thanks

It's OK

When I got bogged down where I wasn't sure what to do next, clicking on help was totally useless. I had to try random things to resolve the problem. Since this is about the fifth time I've used Turbo Tax, I am getting a little better at it.
When I printed a study copy before filing the program, it printed out 39 pages related to my charitable donations even though the program used the standard deduction and all that printed paper was of no value.

I resent not being able to E-file my return again this year simply because I own private mortgages and do not have the buyer's social security numbers. People do not give these out readily you know. I wrote each of them last year requesting the information and only one
responded. So once again I have to mail in my return. I hate this!

Was glad to be asked what forms I wanted printed. Alas, couldn't delete forms, letters I didn't need. Wasted 7 pgs & ink. Program generally easy to use, but not easy enough for those who really want to pick pgs to be printed.

The version I bought did the forms but after being rejected, had to go the web site and redo it.

Easy to Use

I've used this program for about 5 years now, and each year they add improvements which make it very user friendly. I've always calculated my state taxes by hand, but added the "state" option with Turbo Tax this year. I found it to be very easy also!

IN GENERAL, I FOUND IT MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH THAN IN PRIOR YEARS. NEEDS TO BE STREAMLINED TO MINIMIZE ENTRIES, REDUCE REDUNDENCY, AND CUT BACK ON PERSISTENT UPGRADE MESSAGES.
