I have used for about 3 years and am pretty much happy overall. Some of the investment things I don't understand but then I don't really need it.

I've used MacInTax and then TurboTax since 1985. It has always served me well. After more than 25 years of experience with it I think that I'll keep it up. It gets better every year. I ought to get a free copy next year!

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE

I use Turbo Tax every year, but I don't remember the service ever costing this much! I normally purchase the program from a store, so maybe that's the difference. It's just shocking to me that my total refund, (State and Fed) equals $126, and I just paid approx $90 after all the fees and costs to Turbo Tax to file! Don't think I'll be doing this again next year. Too bad.

It copied from last year, and updates were easy to follow.

Not as smooth to use

At times I got very discouraged trying to find the right place to add taxes we paid on gas royalties. When I entered that income, there were no additional questions about expenses. Finally went directly to the form and plugged them in. When I looked at my 2010 return, I failed to include them...probably because I wasn't asked about expenses related to the royalties.
