I repeated had to scroll down to the bottom to click on a button, when it would have been easy to put it at the top or compress the screen so that scrolling is not necessary.
Also, I sometimes had to repeat the same process multiple times -- bring up the same screen (with maybe one thing different, select the same answer, press the same button -- when I had already established the choice I made, which would have required only doing it once.

Walked me thru everything with no problems, easy to understand all sections, found some deductions didn't know i qualified for. I am forevermore a Turbo Tax customer

Good but one dumb issue

With as much knowledge that this tax program has, why does it keep pushing you to prepare your FL state tax return when it knows there is no such requirement? This is dumb and probably confuses a lot of people.

Filing state tax return

1. Turbotax kept telling me that info from my federal return would not allow my state return to be filed.. Yet the federal return was filed electronically and accepted.
2. I paid $19.95 for electronic filing of LA state return, but could not file electronically. I had to mail the return.

2011 Turbo review

In previous years, I could click on a line on the 1040 and the program would take me to the form or schedule that supported that line. I'd then input the information and go to the next line. That method made Turbotax very user friendly. This years program was not user friendly in my opinion.

TurboTax Basic is little more than meant for those who file a 1040EZ. TurboTax removed capability so it could sell the much more expensive Premium and other higher versions. Shameful

As with last year, I think you ought to give the user a printout of the return before it is filed. Seems like printing it afterwards is like shutting the barn door after the horse has left!
